For some people, silence is a weapon. For Mallory “Mouse” Dodge, it’s a shield. Growing up, she learned that the best way to survive was to say nothing. And even though it’s been four years since her nightmare ended, she’s beginning to worry that the fear that holds her back will last a lifetime.

Now, after years of homeschooling with loving adoptive parents, Mallory must face a new milestone—spending her senior year at public high school. But of all the terrifying and exhilarating scenarios she’s imagined, there’s one she never dreamed of—that she’d run into Rider Stark, the friend and protector she hasn’t seen since childhood, on her very first day.

It doesn’t take long for Mallory to realize that the connection she shared with Rider never really faded. Yet the deeper their bond grows, the more it becomes apparent that she’s not the only one grappling with the lingering scars from the past. And as she watches Rider’s life spiral out of control, Mallory faces a choice between staying silent and speaking out—for the people she loves, the life she wants, and the truths that need to be heard. (From Goodreads)

The Problem With Forever is a coming of age story that goes deeper than most, it delves into a dark past for our main characters, deals with traumatic and sensitive topics, all while still giving you the warm fuzzies you want when reading a book.

“We have a second chance. And who gets second chances?”

To call this book a contemporary romance is actually selling it short, because in reality it's so much more than that. It's a story about breaking down your barriers, pushing your boundaries and finding out who you really are, and most importantly it's about developing your own voice and gaining the courage to speak your mind. Rider and Mallorys story isn't just about love, it's about friendship and survival and I found myself rooting for them right from the very start of the book.

“Forever was something we all took for granted, but the problem

with forever was that it really didn't exist.”

At this point, I think Jennifer L Armentrout can do no wrong, she's an incredible writer and while I do feel that as a 28 year old, I perhaps wasn't really the target demographic for this book, I can fully appreciate how much I would have fallen head over heels for this book when I was a teenager. If only books like this existed back then.

WIN a signed copy of SIx of Crows by Leigh Bardugo! (UK)

Every since I read the words "Make me your villian" I have been a devoted fan of Leigh Bardugo and her Grishaverse. Her characters are some of my most favourites of all time, and I am dying waiting for Crooked Kingdom, the second book in the Six of Crows duology.

Last year I was fortunate enough to meet Leigh, and attend her book signing, reading, and Q&A at London Piccadilly Waterstones. She was wonderful, so warm (and hilarious!), and it was a brilliant experience. Whilst I was there, I purchased a second copy of Six of Crows to give away to you guys.

I wanted to give it away when I discussed my most favourite signed books in a video, and that video is now live, which means I can now host the giveaway!

- A brand new copy of Six of Crows, paperback edition signed by Leigh Bardugo herself.

COVER REVEAL - Torn by Jennifer L Armentrout

I have been a fan of Jennifer L Armentrout for a few years now, her books are addictive, binge read worthy and I have a special space in my bookshelf shaped heart for her fictional bad boys in need of redemption. (Here's looking at you, Roth).

As of yet, Wicked is still on my TBR. It's a book that I have been desperate to read for some time now, and I am constantly lusting over the cover, it's so beautiful. So, it goes without saying that I'm super excited to be able to show you all the cover for Torn, the second book in the paranormal romance trilogy. Are you ready? It's seriously stunning, and was created by  Sarah Hansen from Okay Creations with photography by Kelsey Kukal-Keeton from K Keeton designs.

Torn between duty and survival, nothing can be the same.

Everything Ivy Morgan thought she knew has been turned on its head. After being betrayed and then nearly killed by the Prince of the Fae, she’s left bruised and devastated—and with an earth-shattering secret that she must keep at all costs. And if the Order finds out her secret, they’ll kill her.
Then there’s Ren Owens, the sexy, tattooed Elite member of the Order who has been sharing Ivy’s bed and claiming her heart. Their chemistry is smoking hot, but Ivy knows that Ren has always valued his duty to the Order above all else—he could never touch her if he knew the truth. That is, if he let her live at all. Yet how can she live with herself if she lies to him?
But as the Fae Prince begins to close in on Ivy, intent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld, Ivy is running out of options. If she doesn’t figure out who she can trust—and fast—it’s not only her heart that will be torn apart, but civilization itself.
